Application fails to load when defining specific plugins

Reported by tsmango | April 16th, 2009 @ 08:20 PM

If you define plugins like:

config.plugins = [:redhillonrails_core, :foreign_key_migrations, :paperclip]

rather than using:

config.plugins = [:all]

while you're using TwitterAuth, the application fails to load with this error:

/Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-2.3.2/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:440:in `load_missing_constant':NameError: uninitialized constant TwitterAuth::Dispatcher::Shared

    I would imagine this is true of any GemPlugin as I've seen some other loading funkiness in situations like this. I would recommend installing it as a plugin instead of a gem and including it in your plugin array. Other than that, I think this is really more of a Rails plugin loader issue than a TwitterAuth issue.
